Our courses are designed by the Scottish Accessible Information Forum and are designed to improve your general knowledge and understanding of Accessible Information.
There are self-paced courses so you can learn at a time that suits you.
On completion of the course you will receive a certificate, available to view and download in your account area.
Accessible Information Awareness...
The Accessible Information Awareness e-learning course provides the first step in helping you to make the information you produce accessible to everyone, including disabled people.
It covers:
- Good practice in producing printed information using guidelines previously set out by SAIF (Scottish Accessible Information Forum),
- Different types of alternative formats and information about obtaining these,
- Assistive technology and some of the accessibility issues for disabled people who use it to access information,
- Accessible information in the context of anti-discrimination legislation and the social model of disability.
On completion you can progress to our second e-learning module Hidden Accessibility which concentrates on making information accessible to people who rely on screen-reading software.
